SummaryThe Inside Sales Rep will create the first impression for our prospective customers through business development activities, follow-ups on their inquiries and from our marketing campaigns. This role will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. This role will drive business profitability through selling the Simplot product portfolio and ensuring Sales results.
The focus will be developing the qualified lead pipeline by utilizing customer data to ensure leads meet the criteria for our group to achieve our targeted goals. This role will be accountable to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction to deliver world class customer service.
Provides timely customer communications regarding quotes, lead times, account status, or any other customer requests or concerns of increasing complexity. Represent the full Simplot product line in all sales capacities.
Conduct sales calls to set targets. Utilize various means to recruit and establish new partnerships for the sales of products. Be actively engaged in promoting and driving sales across the entire product portfolio. Communicates with Direct Sales to ensure excellent account management and customer service for new and existing customers.
Research industry and marketing trends and develop product suggestions based on findings. Fully embrace and become proficient with the Simplot Sales Process and supports the go-to-market sales strategies through inside sales activities. Attends and participates in training, learning-based meetings, and other sessions to advance individual knowledge of sales techniques, product specifications, and department functions. Be a subject matter expert on all Simplot products as well as key distributor label items.
Establish and develop relationships with key management and sales personnel. Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries and requests for samples, meetings, or product pilots.
Documents all customer contact and sales activities in CRM. Completes and up-dates all applicable sales forms and call reports to ensure a complete and timely flow of sales information.
Typical EducationBachelor's degree (BA or BS) from 4-year college or university.
3+ years related experience and/or training
Other InformationRelevant experience could be considered.
