The Interventional Urology Territory Manager is responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through cultivating business partnerships with key decision makers, conducting clinical consultations, and driving market share and sales growth. The incumbent will target Urology customers by selling and servicing Coloplast’s Stress Urinary Incontinence device.

Major Areas of Accountability Business Acumen
  • Engage all targeted accounts and execute a strategic plan to achieve overall territory sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to maximize territory and company goals, including analysis of key sales and marketing data to identify optimal opportunities.
  • Understand each customer’s environment, key decision makers, and major concerns to identify challenges and opportunities for Coloplast.
  • Advance the sales process to meet or exceed business and marketing targets for each product line focus.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial business models and cost/benefit analysis.
Selling Skills
  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills to uncover customer strategy and present value proposition, including financial and clinical impact.
  • Plan daily call routines and account penetration to ensure appropriate coverage of key accounts based on sales potential, geography, and development of the sales process.
  • Utilize available tools to maximize sales growth, including marketing directives, sales reports, educational materials, and national contracts.
  • Stay knowledgeable of competitive activity and sales volume in each targeted account.
Relationship Building
  • Use a strategic approach to influence others and develop relationships that expand cross‑product engagement.
  • Retain and grow business within the current customer base by identifying opportunities and formulating sales strategies.
  • Maintain long‑term relationships that increase product usage within target accounts.
  • Develop and maintain productive cross‑functional relationships to share knowledge and leverage organizational synergies.
Clinical Knowledge and Self Development
  • Show proficiency in clinical and technical product knowledge.
  • Educate and train physicians, surgeons, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to Coloplast products.
  • Leverage clinical knowledge to educate peers on product categories.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitive activity, market trends, and industry information.
  • Participate in industry‑related training, meetings, and events for business development opportunities.
Healthcare Facility/Operating Room Interactions
  • Interact frequently with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, doctors, technicians, procurement, inventory control, and administrative staff.
  • Present during procedures and surgeries as requested to assist healthcare professionals with Coloplast product–related questions, following operating room protocols without entering the sterile field or patient interactions.
  • Comply with all healthcare facility and operating room compliance standards.
Administrative & Other
  • Organize and manage information using CRM or related tools as directed.
  • Maintain current records and administrative duties, including sales reporting, forecasting, inventory, and expense management.
  • Support surgeon implanter’s submission of VAC documents.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and follow the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of successful medical experience, preferably in medical device marketing, sales, or service.
  • Ability to arrive on time and prepared for each case deployed.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and overnight up to 50%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must meet credentialing requirements to meet healthcare facility access requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license, as driving is required for this position.
