Alter Nativa is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offered exclusively in Spanish. We have Level IV FARR‑certified housing. Our mission is to empower individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders and mental health challenges through compassionate, tailored treatment delivered in Spanish. We integrate evidence‑based practices with cultural sensitivity, ensuring clients feel respected and supported throughout their recovery journey.
Position OverviewAs a Business Development Specialist at Alter Nativa, you will establish strong relationships within the mental health and substance use treatment communities and with the Latin community to promote our culturally competent services. Your primary focus will be outreach efforts that raise awareness of our center and attract new clients, ensuring those in need understand the resources available to them. You will increase our client base and help individuals on their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, ensuring they are aware of our center’s exclusive Spanish‑speaking services and culturally competent care, enabling them to refer Spanish‑speaking clients effectively (including detox centers, residential facilities, therapists, hospitals, community organizations).
- Maintain consistent communication with family members before the admission process.
- Maintain weekly goals for client admissions and outreach activities, including a minimum of 10 admissions per month, with incentives for patients exceeding the minimum target.
- Engage actively with the Latin community through outreach events and informational sessions, helping them understand how to choose a treatment center that maximizes long‑term recovery.
- Collaborate with Admissions to support clients through the intake process and ensure a seamless admissions experience.
- Monitor local trends and best practices to inform strategy and enhance our service offerings.
- Track outreach efforts and client acquisition metrics to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or community outreach in the behavioral health field.
- Strong understanding of substance use and mental health.
- Native Spanish speaker; bilingual and fluent in English to facilitate effective communication and provide culturally relevant support.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for helping others.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with a focus on driving client acquisition.
- Additional skills: marketing strategies, partner marketing, product positioning.
Competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience and performance. Annual bonus/commission available.
