  • This job is a member of the Cargo Team within the Commercial Division.
  • Responsible for heavy outbound phone solicitation with a proactive approach to genereating and securing new revenue generation for the South America Region and over the Cargo Division. The individual will also be responsible for a number of accounts to develop and abibilty to grow new business as well as sales support for Outside Sales Managers. This role will begin as an inside sales position with the goal of developing into an outside sales role.
What

you'll do
  • Maintains daily contact with KEY account that require follow-up support
  • Assists with on-site sales calls with local sales reps to develop face to face selling skills.
  • Responds quickly to customer request for quotes, rates and special projects projects from Account and/or Regional Manager
  • Utilizes selling skills and product knowledge to solicit business from potential shippers by phone to maximize sales productivity
  • Pulls daily, weekly, monthly account information and have ability to review the information to assist in proactive selling and to create strategic sales generation reports
  • Works closely with all areas within the Cargo Division to secure new opportunities and maintain existing business from global, key and local customers.

  • Previous telephone sales or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of American Airlines Cargo products and services

  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive, demanding environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
