Position Overview
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients. This role focuses on proactive prospecting, consultative selling, and strategic networking to generate new leads and drive revenue growth across all Advanced Roofing business lines. The Business Development Executive collaborates closely with internal teams to qualify opportunities, develop value‑based solutions, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while consistently maintaining accurate sales data and activity within the CRM system.
Key Responsibilities- Identify potential clients in the target market and perform research on prospective clients’ businesses across all ARI businesses (roofing, solar, and HVAC).
- Work with clients to gather project qualification information.
- Provide critical data within the CRM system, including account and contact data and lead‑qualifying information for specific opportunities.
- Seek business expansion opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and current clients to ensure customer satisfaction and continued sales opportunities.
- Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly sales initiatives to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments within the Company to stay current with industry trends, pricing, and product offerings.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a similar field (preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development (required).
- Previous roofing/construction sales experience (preferred).
- Outbound sales and prospecting experience in a B2B environment (required).
- Proven experience in managing customer accounts and building lasting relationships (required).
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and to other meetings as required.
- Ability to pass all pre‑employment drug and background checks.
- Must have a valid and insurable driver’s license.
- Excellent selling, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to influence and close deals.
- High work ethic and self‑motivation.
- Proficiency with CRM tools.
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
