Account Manager, Business Development, Client Relationship Manager
Aviation Account Manager – Airports & FBOs (Remote, Southeast U.S.; preferred locations:
Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C. region)
- Manage and Grow Existing Partnerships
• Maintain a portfolio of airport and FBO partners across a multi‑state Southeast territory.
• Retain and strengthen customer relationships across World Fuel products and services.
• Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and strategic account planning sessions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to airport and FBO partners.
• Improve customer satisfaction and ease of doing business with World Fuel. - Drive Revenue Growth
• Increase fuel volume, profitability, and overall partner performance.
• Expand adoption of Contract Fuel, AVCARD, Retail, Rewards, and related aviation solutions.
• Identify opportunities to increase market share within existing accounts.
• Support sales initiatives to grow customer engagement and product utilization.
• Achieve territory sales, revenue, and profitability goals. - Develop New Business Opportunities
• Identify and secure new airport and FBO partnerships.
• Build relationships with airport operators, FBO leadership, and aviation stakeholders.
• Conduct outreach, networking, and relationship‑building activities throughout the territory.
• Represent World Fuel at aviation conferences, customer events, and industry meetings. - Use Data to Identify Opportunities
• Analyze customer activity, fuel volumes, pricing trends, and market performance.
• Use Excel, Salesforce, and reporting tools to identify growth opportunities.
• Evaluate account performance and create strategies to improve results.
• Monitor competitive activity and market trends. - Collaborate Across the Business
• Work closely with Flight Department, Sales Teams, and Bulk Sales Teams.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Optimize product support, customer training, and account assistance.
• Share market intelligence and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
- Minimum 3 years of aviation industry experience.
- 3‑5 years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, business development, or commercial roles.
- Experience building and managing customer relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Experience with in Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), Airports, Business Aviation, General Aviation Charter Operations, Aviation Fuel Services, or Aviation Service Providers.
- Experience selling aviation products or services.
- Familiarity with Contract Fuel, AVCARD, fuel programs, or aviation payment solutions.
- Highly self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
- Natural relationship builder who enjoys networking.
- Comfortable speaking to groups and delivering customer presentations.
- Analytical thinker who uncovers business opportunities through data.
- Influential consultative seller capable of influencing customers and stakeholders.
- Thrives in a relationship‑driven industry.

- Visible presence in the aviation community.
Moderate travel throughout the Southeast territory (approximately 20‑30% of time), including customer visits, airport meetings, industry conferences, and partner events.
