The RoleSenior Business Development Executive – Self‑motivated professional to drive revenue in ticketing, donations, and hospitality for University of Miami Athletics. Must identify prospects, engage donors, and nurture revenue streams. Must report to Director of Ticket Sales.
Essential Functions- Offer seating opportunities for Miami Hurricanes Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball.
- Coordinate and execute prospecting activities: cold calls, referrals, database leads, partner organizations.
- Identify prospects, provide service, drive revenue through ticket and donation sales.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects via outbound activities, appointments, networking, and creative lead generation.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to record client interactions accurately.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
- Collaborate with Athletic Department team to promote ticket sales and enhance fan experience.
- Assist with administrative ticket functions and special projects as assigned.
- Entertain and nurture donor relationships through networking events, speaking engagements, game visits, open houses, and meetings.
- Work non‑traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days.
- Meet activity‑mandated calls, appointments, pipeline development, revenue, and goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- 2–3+ years of sales experience (preferred).
- Experience selling 5‑ and 6‑figure ticketing and donation deals (preferred).
- Proven ability to generate new business, upsell from existing donors and ticket holders (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional image and positive attitude.
- Responsibility for new business and general athletic ticket inquiries via phone, email, and social media.
- Ability to set and conduct in‑stadium, arena, and out‑of‑office sales appointments.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Optimistic team‑first attitude and competitive desire to be the best.
- Effective influence and communication with C‑level clients.
