Job Description & How to Apply Below

Mallory Renée has been a partner to America’s retailers for 85 years, designing, sourcing, and delivering reusable bag programs that shoppers love and retailers rely on. What began in 1941 as hand‑sewn handbags in a Manhattan loft is now a third‑generation, family‑owned business supplying custom reusable programs to national retailers including Ross, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Marshalls, Burlington, and CVS, plus grocery and department stores across the country.

We win by working as an extension of our customers’ teams: trend‑forward design, retailer‑grade compliance and merchandising support, and decades of manufacturing depth that delivers quality ’re a family business where our word has always been our bond.

The Opportunity

A new generation of the family is carrying the business into its next chapter, and we’re investing in the brand, technology, and team to grow. The Vice President of Sales owns that growth.

The mandate is clear: protect and grow the national accounts we’ve held for decades, and win the ones we’ve never had. You’ll start with real advantages—a respected name, buyer relationships, and a curated target list we’ve spent years warming. But this is a hunting role: the wins that matter most are the logos we don’t have yet.

You’ll work alongside a small, seasoned team—our COO, our design lead, and a partner with decades in this industry—who will teach you our products and our business fast. What we don’t have yet is a sales machine. You’ll build it, and as the business grows, so does the team underneath you.

Grocery is our largest whitespace and a clear priority, and beyond it the field is open—wholesale, promotional, private label, packaging, and channels we haven’t thought of yet. Product and channel development are the heart of this role: you’ll decide where we play next and prove it with signed programs.

You’ll work directly with the owner‑CEO, with a clear path into broader commercial leadership across design and sourcing over time. The goal is to build this into a much bigger business—and for the person who drives that growth to share in the upside.

What You’ll Own
  • The sales function end to end: pipeline, outreach, pitch, pricing, forecasting, and close.
  • Our existing book: senior relationship ownership of key accounts, renewals, and program expansion. These relationships are measured in decades; you keep them growing.
  • New logos: convert our curated target list into signed programs, then build a pipeline well beyond it. Net‑new business is how this role is scored.
  • Product and channel development: grocery first; beyond that, the field is open—wholesale, promotional, private label, packaging, or channels you identify.
  • Sales infrastructure: CRM, KPIs, and a forecast the business can plan around—built by you, and, as we scale, the team to run it.

You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with our design and operations teams so that what you sell, we deliver on time and to spec. And you’ll be expected to learn our products, materials, and manufacturing story fast enough to sell them with real credibility.

What Winning Looks Like in Year 1
  • Every existing account is renewed and growing.
  • New logos signed from the target list—and names added to it that we hadn’t thought of.
  • Grocery producing repeatable revenue, with at least 1 more channel in motion.
  • A pipeline and forecast the CEO can plan the business around.
Who You Are
  • 8+ years in sales with a real book of business behind you, and the presence to carry yourself in any buyer’s office.
  • A closer. You pick up a new product fast, sell it with conviction, and keep score in signed programs, not activity.
  • A hunter by track record—new logos are how you’ve made your name, not just growing inherited accounts.
  • Grocery or CPG background is a strong plus. If you already understand how grocery and retail buyers think and buy, you’ll move faster here.
  • Experience in reusable bags, packaging, soft goods, or sustainable products is a plus; existing retail relationships are even better.
  • Comfortable with big‑box and national chain dynamics: private label, high‑volume programs, and a deadline‑driven retail calendar.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful, able to operate with range in a lean, founder‑led business.
  • A strong negotiator and relationship builder with the financial fluency to hold price and protect margin.
Location

Miami / South Florida preferred; remote works for the right person. This is a road‑based sales role built around customer meetings and trade shows—where you live matters less than where you show up.

Compensation

Competitive base plus a meaningful, performance‑based sales incentive. As the business grows, the person who grows it shares in the upside.
