Job Title
Clinical Research Coordinator 2 – Full‑time position located in North Miami, FL.
OverviewAs a mid‑level clinical research professional, the coordinator assists in planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating specific clinical research studies, supporting day‑to‑day operations from protocol initiation through close‑out in compliance with regulatory and sponsor guidelines.
Core Job Functions- Assist with participant recruitment, retention, and screening for eligibility.
- Perform study procedures, routine tests, and data collection/recording for moderate risk clinical protocols.
- Collect, process, pack, and ship specimens in accordance with protocol and regulatory standards.
- Maintain study binders, filings, and documentation per protocol and university policies.
- Distribute study drug materials according to practice standards and delegated by the Principal Investigator.
- Monitor, document, report, and follow‑up on unanticipated events, adverse events, and protocol deviations.
- Assist with protocol amendment implementation under the Principal Investigator’s supervision.
- Provide study orientation and protocol‑related in‑services to the research team and clinical staff.
- Monitor protocol implementation and study progress, providing investigators with progress reports.
- Serve as liaison between the research team, sponsor, data coordinating centers, compliance monitors, collaborators, investigators’ administrative personnel, and departments.
- Support administrative tasks for study personnel, including orientation, core competency documentation, certification mandates, education on responsible conduct, and performance reviews.
- Implement cultural competency practices, ensuring language translation and health literacy support for participants.
- Adhere to all international, national, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain required training in safety, equality, responsible conduct, continuing education, and research competencies.
- Follow university and unit‑level policies, protecting university assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical research experience.
- Applicable certification(s) as described in the department description.
- Learning Agility – ability to acquire new procedures, technologies, and protocols quickly.
- Teamwork – collaborate effectively with diverse multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Proficiency – skilled in office software and relevant research applications.
- Communication – clear written and verbal communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
