Position Overview:

Florida Defensive Training is seeking a proficient Self-Defense Instructor with a robust background in firearms, combat, and fitness. The ideal candidate will lead comprehensive training sessions focused on equipping individuals with essential self-defense skills while ensuring a safe and empowering learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging and informative self-defense classes, covering a range of techniques including firearms handling, close combat, and defensive tactics.
  • Develop and implement tailored training programs to suit varying skill levels, ensuring participants' progress and competence.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in firearm safety, marksmanship, and responsible use of firearms in self-defense scenarios.
  • Instruct on physical conditioning techniques that complement self-defense strategies, promoting overall fitness and agility.
  • Provide guidance on situational awareness, threat assessment, and effective decision-making during high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, fostering confidence and self-assurance among students.
  • Stay updated with the latest self-defense methodologies, tools, and legal considerations relevant to Florida's regulations.
    • Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Self-Defense Instructor with expertise in firearms, combat techniques, and physical fitness.
  • Certified in relevant disciplines such as martial arts, firearm handling, or defensive tactics training.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and instructions to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in assessing individual abilities and adapting training methodologies accordingly.
  • Comprehension of Florida's laws and regulations pertaining to self-defense and firearm usage.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and creating a secure learning environment for all participants.
