The Regional Fleet Security Expert plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the secure and efficient operation of our client’s advanced vehicle fleet. This strategic position requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in traffic enforcement, collision investigation, and emergency response coordination. You will lead the development and execution of comprehensive vehicle recovery programs, foster critical partnerships with local and regional public safety agencies, and deliver high-impact training to first responders.

Your insights will directly influence operational safety improvements, policy refinement, and incident response effectiveness, contributing to industry-leading standards in fleet security within a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Locations: Atlanta, GA – Austin, TX – Houston, TX – Miami, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic development, refinement, and execution of vehicle recovery programs, including policy formulation, safety assessments, specialized training, and operational support.
  • Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other emergency response agencies.
  • Deliver expert-level training and briefing sessions to first responders on vehicle-specific safety features, emergency protocols, and response techniques.
  • Provide hands‑on support and real‑time monitoring during traffic incidents and field investigations, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless coordination across internal and external teams.
  • Prepare and organize investigative documentation, and efficiently manage information requests to support law enforcement inquiries and internal stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze field feedback to inform continuous improvement in vehicle operations and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and alignment with best practices in traffic and public safety.
  • Represent the organization in key engagements with public safety partners and at industry or community outreach events.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of sworn law enforcement experience with a proven focus on traffic enforcement and collision investigation.
  • Sworn law enforcement status with 15+ years of experience (ideally a Captain or Lieutenant).
  • A robust national network is essential.
  • Demonstrated involvement in traffic incidents, post‑incident reviews, or advisory roles in serious vehicle crashes.
  • Extensive experience leading or supporting complex collision investigations, including those involving injuries or fatalities.
  • Valid Incident Command System (ICS/NIMS) certification or equivalent advanced training, with practical application in real‑world incident response.
  • Exceptional communication, training delivery, and relationship‑building skills with public safety agencies.
  • Proven track record in technical investigations and cross‑agency coordination with legal, safety, and security teams.
  • In‑depth knowledge of traffic safety principles, emergency response protocols, and investigative best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
  • Established professional network within law enforcement or public safety communities.
  • Graduating from the FBI Academy is preferred, or demonstrating network reach such as having over 1,000 Linked In connections, or being part of specialized national training/teams (e.g., Bomb Squad).
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Public Safety, Transportation, Emergency Management, or specialized certification in traffic safety or traffic investigations.
  • Incident Command System (ICS) certification is desired, beyond the baseline of standard police operations in disaster/incident management.
