Description
All security officers will be screening cargo using various screening methods; inspecting credentials; and may need to inventory equipment.
Candidates must be willing to work any schedule with possibility of alternating shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Screen cargo using various screening methods.
- Inspect everyone’s credentials before allowing them into the warehouse; inventory equipment.
- Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
- Complete forms and documents and prepare daily reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
- Answer questions and assist passengers and employees.
- Remain flexible to ever‑changing environments; adapt well to different situations.
- Perform air‑side driving and escort.
- Other tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid Security D License.
- Must have a valid Driver License.
- All Security Officers must be U.S. Citizen.
- Must have security experience or demonstrated relevant skills.
- Ability to speak and understand English professionally.
- Must be able to pass all pre‑requisites to obtain SIDA badge.
- Must pass a criminal background check as well as a drug screen prior to employment.
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company grooming/uniform policy.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends, and report to work on time.
- Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
