Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Site Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication.
You will carry out armed duties in accordance with your Armed Guard Card or license, document observations, and work as part of a team that values integrity, reliability, agility, innovation, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as required.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify and/or help deter suspicious activity.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, control visitor entry, and coordinate with authorized personnel on access decisions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuations, and/or providing scene support until relieved.
- Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
- Be 21+ Years of Age.
- Provide DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
