You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and requests for assistance, and document observations and reports with clear communication.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Carry and maintain assigned authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and applicable laws, and help to deter prohibited activity through a professional armed presence.

+ Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking doors, gates, restricted areas, and public spaces for unusual conditions.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, suspicious activity, medical situations, and traffic or crowd issues, and coordinate with site representatives and/or public agencies as directed.

+ Complete detailed written reports and logs, document security-related activity, preserve observations for follow-up, and communicate clearly with supervisors and site contacts via radio, phone, and/or other approved systems.

* + Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Provide DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.

+ A guard card/license is preferred.

+ Baton certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
