- Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, summoning appropriate assistance, and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated points by verifying identification, screening visitors and contractors per post orders, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate key observations to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree and/or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
