Security Operations Supervisor. Miami Move Collective

Join our team as a Security Operations Supervisor and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff!

• Oversee all aspects of hotel security operations during your shift.
• Lead investigations and manage special activities effectively.
• Conduct foot patrols to identify security risks and safety concerns, communicating findings to Security Management for appropriate actions.
• Assist the Security Management team in mitigating safety risks within the premises.
• Answer phone calls in the Security office and maintain accurate security logbooks.
• Provide emergency first aid and CPR/AED when necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with the property layout and daily events to give guests accurate information and directions.
• Document and manage lost and found items.
• Operate Fire Life Safety and Public Address Systems, prepared to use them during emergencies.
• Escort employees and guests to and from their vehicles as needed.
• Write comprehensive Security reports and Engineering work orders.
• Maintain order in the hotel by addressing guest welfare, door lock issues, and coordinating responses to emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Utilize a two-way radio for efficient communication with Security and other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Director.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the building layout and familiarity with the surrounding area.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers, demonstrating patience and diplomacy.
• Strong listening, speaking, and writing skills in English.
• Capacity to stand and walk continuously to fulfill job requirements for the entire shift.
• A keen ability to recognize potential safety hazards through hearing and sight.
• Capability to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and walking significant distances.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Capacity to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
• Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.

• High school graduation or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Preferred prior experience in hotel or contract security.
• Experience in supervisory duties is advantageous.
• Certification as a Florida State security guard is mandatory.
• Preferred certifications in CPR and first aid training.
