Armed Security Officer (Temporary Assignment) – Kendall Area.

Location: Kendall Area (Miami-Dade County).

Position Type: Temporary.

Schedule: Evening Shifts.

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour.

Security Management Inc. (SMI) is seeking a highly skilled and alert Armed Security Officer for a temporary assignment at a wire transfer facility in the Kendall area. This is a hands‑on position that requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work closely with the client to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide armed security presence at a high‑traffic wire transfer location.
Monitor customer flow and maintain order within the premises.
Work directly with the client to support daily operations and security needs.
Identify and respond to suspicious activity or potential security risks.
Ensure all customers and visitors follow site procedures.
Maintain clear, accurate reports of incidents and daily activity.
Assist in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Deliver excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols.

Requirements:

Valid Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses (required).
Must possess own firearm and holster (required).
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to manage high‑traffic environments and stay composed under pressure.
Basic computer skills (reporting, monitoring systems, client interaction).
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Reliable transportation.

Preferred (Not Required):

Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Prior experience in armed security or financial institution security.
Leadership qualities and the ability to take initiative.

Work Environment:

Indoor position at a wire transfer/payment location.
Fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
Requires standing for extended periods.
Close coordination with client staff and management.
