What You'll Do:
Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to verify that visitors, staff, and/or vendors follow site entry procedures, identification requirements, and restricted-area protocols.
Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associate degree or 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
