Our Armed Patrol Officers in a government location conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or security-related concerns.
Support order at the location by following post instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related responses during public interactions, emergencies, and/or special situations.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, or an associate degree, or 60 college credits, or a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
