Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Driver Mobile Patrol in Miami, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while putting people first and acting with integrity.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and support visitor and employee screening processes in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
- Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations observed during patrols, and follow escalation procedures for law enforcement or supervisory support when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
