Security Officer

The Miami HEAT and The Kaseya Center are looking for a full‑time security officer that will assist in the handling of any security‑related disturbances or problems that might arise during events or at the facility.

• Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises.
• Write incident reports and meet with the security supervisor to review procedures.
• Inspect alarms and fire extinguisher/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate. Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Tour the facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
• Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
• Control unusual circumstances and events during a fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Assist departments with any security‑related issues.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Assist security division with special projects.

• Must have a minimum of one‑year related security experience and/or training. Must demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to major sports and entertainment venues. A Class D License is required.
