Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Representative in Miami, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security‑related incidents, and support access control activities. Role offers the chance to stay visible, respond to site needs, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.83 / Hour
Job Schedule: Tue 02:30 PM – 06:30 PM, Thu 02:30 PM – 06:30 PM
What You'll Do- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and, when appropriate, emergency response actions at a technology‑focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions related to the location.
- Monitor entry points, credentials, and/or sensitive areas while following post orders and reporting security‑related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Support day‑to‑day operations by maintaining a professional presence, completing required reports, and assisting with security‑related procedures for employees, contractors, and/or guests.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
