, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post for a dependable professional who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings an agile, reliable, and innovative approach each day.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to enforce authorized entry procedures for staff, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
- Support investigations of security-related concerns by preparing reports, preserving relevant information, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
