This job reports to the Operations Manager
This is a Full-Time position
- Protect public figures, coordinate crime prevention activities, and guard government property.
- Monitor federal building access control, employee and visitor identification checks, and security, equipment monitoring, and roving patrols of the interior and exterior of federal property.
- Provide detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
- Use provided communication devices, such as two-way radios, clearly and concisely.
- Provide emergency response and evaluation procedures.
- Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
- Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a United States citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard).
- Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individual name and social security number.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience security (armed) experience or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a municipality, state, or federal law enforcement department within the US.
- A minimum of two (2) years as a member of any US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge.
- Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
- Must fluently speak, read, comprehend English, and be able to compose written reports in English.
- Must be able to qualify with a semi-automatic.
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.
