Cargo Security Screener

Andy Frain Services is seeking a Cargo Security Screener to ensure the safe and compliant movement of cargo within our Transportation & Logistics operations. In this Security & Law Enforcement role, you will screen packages and freight using x-ray, physical inspection, and documentation review to detect prohibited items and ensure regulatory compliance. You will follow strict security protocols, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with supervisors and law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Screen cargo, parcels, and related materials using X-ray, ETD, and other approved security equipment.
• Identify and escalate suspicious items, anomalies, or prohibited materials following established protocols.
• Verify shipping documents, labels, and identification to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and chain-of-custody documentation for all screened cargo.
• Control access to secured cargo areas and verify the authorization of personnel entering restricted zones.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors, fellow security staff, and operations personnel regarding security issues or delays.
• Follow all safety and security procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to facility rules.
• Support incident response efforts by securing areas, preserving evidence, and completing incident reports as directed.
• Participate in ongoing training related to security procedures, equipment operation, and regulatory updates.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service to clients, drivers, and partners while enforcing security requirements.
