THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team of professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of electrical systems and outstanding problem-solving skills, performing all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
  • Commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
  • Installation of all types of conduit.
  • Use of electric and hydraulic benders.
  • Installation of switch gear, transformers, and panel boards.
  • Installation of interior and exterior lighting.
  • Installation of standby power systems (generators, UPS).
  • Knowledge of fire alarm, voice/data, and security system installation.
  • Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations.
  • Conduct all troubleshooting, repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electric Code.
  • Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
  • Two to five years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman.
  • At least five (5) years of electrical field experience.
  • Knowledge of current code NFPA 70, 72, 101 and Florida building code.
  • Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects.
  • Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management.
  • Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
