Hiring salary range: $1,809.28 - $2,341.42 biweekly range / $47,041.24 - $60,876.90 annual range

The work you will do:
Automotive equipment mechanic ii / director of operations / district maintenance / south dade shop
This position will support the agency's mission by performing skilled work as an automotive equipment mechanic, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, performing routine maintenance on/of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment and other related equipment. Field test vehicles and equipment. Submit requests for parts and supplies, comply with all waste generation, respond to emergency road service calls and provide cleanup, minor welding, paint and body repairs, instructs / assists other mechanics.

Annual salary range:
$47,041.24 - $60,876.90
A competitive area differential (cad) additive in the amount of $1,976.00 will be added to the annual salary.
Your specific responsibilities:
Performs skilled work in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and replacement of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other related equipment. Field test vehicles and equipment to ensure the repairs have been satisfactorily completed. Repairs, changes, and balances tires on automotive and heavy equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance work to ensure that equipment is maintained and is in proper working order. Performs periodic maintenance, repair, and preparation of seasonal equipment.
Complies with all waste generation, storage, and disposal laws, rules, and policies. Assists in the maintenance of proper documentation of all waste generation and disposal activities. Elevates questions/items of concern to shop manager.
