Utility Locator

Compensation $20.00 Hourly. Job . Looking for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy independent field work and want to jump start a career in underground utility location. No prior locating experience is needed, but experienced locators are encouraged to apply.

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Work full‑time day shifts with a 48‑hour turnaround on many locates, including overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts as needed.

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology and ticket/claims management systems.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
• Pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
