Boat & Golf Cart Technician

Overview

Transdev in Miami, Florida, is seeking a Boat / Golf Cart Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Boat / Golf Cart Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• Competitive compensation range: $28.00–$34.00 per hour.
• Vacation: minimum 2 weeks.
• Sick days: 5 days.
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating).

• Company‑paid ASE testing and training materials.

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and execute all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, engine tune‑ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, and other components.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work, parts, and supplies used.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Other duties as required.

• ASE certifications required; certification program provided by the company.
• Mechanical tool set proficiency.
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 C.F.R. Part 40 prohibits Schedule I drugs.

• Must be able to work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, often alone and in remote locations.
• Able to sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day), frequently walk long distances, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch.
• Must tolerate dust, vehicle fumes, and noise while performing duties.
