Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLL
This role leads a team of service technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of automated packaging and distribution equipment. The successful candidate will design solutions to complex problems, manage projects, and mentor trainees.
Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building.
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
- Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Develop training plans for service technicians.
- Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance.
- 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.
- 2+ years of work order management.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 5+ years experience with automated conveyors and controls.
- 2+ years experience with electrical and electronic principles.
- 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Experience with robotic maintenance.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required for picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and wrist motion.
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, wet or uneven surfaces, working at heights, handling wheeled equipment up to 100+ lbs, maneuvering bulky parts, and cramped positions under machinery.
