Mobile Engineer
Operates, inspects, and maintains HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment to achieve efficient operation and extend life expectancy. Assures equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner, minimizing downtime by anticipating repairs and keeping records of past operations. Performs inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems.
Demonstrates technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration, and is multi‑skilled in electrical, piping/plumbing, and material handling to complete daily and weekly assignments.
- Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing, and building interior/exterior repair.
- Study and become familiar with various equipment and methods to use them properly.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
- Submit P‑card receipts daily.
- Update work order status in real time.
- Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
- Maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Be available for call‑in work and perform additional duties as required.
- Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
- At least four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Experience using CMMS (work order) systems.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- Two years of trade school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC.
Mobile position covering Miami, FL and surrounding area.
Work ShiftStandard business hours with on‑call availability.
