Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
HEICO Component Repair Group, a global leader in the overhaul and repair of aircraft components, is looking for a Pneumatics Technician to join our talented technical team.
This position offers a dynamic, hands‑on environment where your mechanical skills will directly contribute to the performance and safety of commercial aircraft systems. As a Pneumatics Technician you will follow OEM manuals, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations to ensure all components meet quality and airworthiness standards before being released back into service. You will work closely with engineers, quality control inspectors, and other technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities- Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, reassemble, and test pneumatic aircraft components including valves, actuators, regulators, and pumps
- Troubleshoot pneumatic system and component malfunctions using manuals and schematics
- Perform leak, pressure, and functional testing to verify performance and airworthiness
- Read and interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Replace worn, damaged, or non-conforming parts in accordance with approved repair procedures
- Utilize precision measuring tools and pressure gauges to verify compliance with specifications
- Complete detailed repair, inspection, and testing documentation
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, components or processes
- Maintain work areas clean, organized, and in serviceable condition
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and company procedures
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with pneumatic or mechanical systems (aviation or aerospace preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Skilled in using measurement tools, pressure gauges, test equipment, and hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and MRO standards is preferred
- A&P Certification a plus but not required
- Ability to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
