Maintenance Technician Summary

Performs diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the Club’s equipment and structures by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs general HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building repairs.
  • Inspects and identifies areas or equipment in need of repair.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs and performs scheduled routine maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Repairs and replaces worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
  • Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within the Club and guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and refinish furniture and fixtures if needed.
  • Utilizes and maintains equipment in a proper, safe and effective manner.
  • Maintains records and other maintenance reports as required.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Complies with the Club’s safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs other duties such as lifting/moving heavy items and pressure washing.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (A.

A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR). HVAC or other certifications a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
