The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production, packaging, refrigeration, and facility equipment to ensure efficient plant operations and minimal downtime. This role supports mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and refrigeration systems while following all food safety and safety standards.

Salary: $28.50

Schedule:

8pm - 5am Mon-Fri

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment including mixers, conveyors, freezers, coolers, metal detectors, bagging systems, and related machinery.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and complete work orders on schedule.
  • Repair and replace components such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, chains, motors, and conveyors.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work as needed.
  • Troubleshoot 3-phase motors and basic control wiring.
  • Maintain building systems including air, water, steam, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete housekeeping duties.
  • Follow all company safety, GMP, OSHA, SOP, and BRC food safety procedures.
  • Assist with training team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency calls as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance .
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with TIG, MIG, and arc welding .
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
  • Forklift experience .
  • Basic computer skills and maintenance software knowledge .
  • English required;
    Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, welding, or related trade .
  • Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment .
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, loud, and fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
