The Electrician, Licensed performs building maintenance and repair work, and responds to the corrective needs of electrical equipment, and system components. Core job functions include testing emergency generators and conditioning and heating systems, maintaining and repairing circulator and sump pumps, refrigeration units, fans, and other electrical equipment, installing lighting fixtures and other electrical apparatus, testing circuits for continuity and overloading, conducting fire alarm tests and participating in the movement and installation of machinery and equipment, evaluating equipment performance using instruments, working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment, maintaining records, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment, and adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding University assets.

Core qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license, minimum 5 years of relevant experience, valid license from Miami Dade County, valid state of Florida driver's license, learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong and clear written and verbal communication skills.
