Requirements and DescriptionERMC is seeking a General Technician.
The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Assist electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians
- Be able to perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Monitor HVAC airflow and distribution in Terminals
- Maintain, repair, and replace electrical motors
- Maintain, repair, and replace water and hydraulic pumps
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues that may arise
- Ensure the proper use of all tools for cutting, bending, and welding of equipment
- Carry out detailed evaluation of equipment to ensure they are in good condition for proper use
- Carry out repairs on ceilings, floors, and walls by combining plaster of spackle and painting
- Inspect equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners from time to time for proper cleaning, speed, temperature, and adequate lubrication
- Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety of all people
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electricity, carpentry, and plumbing among other technical skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding
- Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others on the ground.
- Can evaluate computer-related work orders following accuracy.
- Provide all basic hand tools.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing
- Must possess a Government social security card.
- Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
- Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
