We are partnering with an established mechanical contractor that has been serving South Florida for decades and continues to expand its residential and commercial service operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy diagnosing problems, working independently, and delivering high-quality service to customers across a variety of projects.
What You'll DoAs an HVAC Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, installing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems while ensuring exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Install, service, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
- Install air conditioning systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and related equipment.
- Recover and handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA guidelines.
- Install and program conventional and smart thermostats.
- Fabricate, install, and repair ductwork as needed.
- Perform soldering and brazing on refrigeration lines.
- Troubleshoot airflow, ventilation, and system performance issues.
- Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety standards.
- 2+ years of HVAC service or installation experience.
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical HVAC components.
- Ability to read equipment diagrams, wiring schematics, and basic blueprints.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Experience with smart HVAC controls and thermostats is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
