Role DescriptionThe Industrial Generator Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This position is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial generators and associated equipment, including pumps and power units. Daily tasks include performing diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems, conducting routine and preventive maintenance, and documenting service activities in accordance with company standards. The technician will interpret technical drawings and manuals, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and collaborate with team members and customers to schedule and complete service work efficiently.
The role may involve occasional fieldwork at customer sites, including start-ups, testing, and emergency service support.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial diesel and natural gas generators.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Install, commission, and test backup power systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers.
- Operational understanding of automatic transfer switches (ATS), load bank setup and testing.
- Performs quality control tasks including visual inspection of parts or unit, checking serial numbers of parts, review QC reports and action reports
- Must be able to use a Fluke meter and amp probe.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing industrial generators.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and natural gas generator systems.
- Experience with major generator brands is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency service calls when needed.
- Proficient written and verbal English skills.

Pay range: $62,000 to 88,000
