Eighth grade and one year of experience in the installation of traffic signs and/or the application of street markings are required; or currently employed by Miami-Dade County as a Maintenance Repairer with permanent status is required. Must possess a Driver license.

Employees in this position receive work orders requiring erection, replacement, and repair of stop, caution and warning signs. Duties include construction of asphalt curbing or traffic islands, street painting and striping for barrier lines, center lines and related activities. Employees perform tasks using variety of equipment such as air compressors and striping machines. Incumbents direct the work of crew completing work orders and maintaining equipment;

apply pavement marking stencils, regulate compressors, and prepare paint for application. All previously applied need not re-apply.
