Role DescriptionThe HVAC Commercial Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the the Greater Miami Area. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and related controls. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting system issues, completing scheduled preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. The technician will coordinate with project managers, other trades, and clients, document work performed, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
This position may involve responding to service calls, supporting retrofit and new construction projects, and participating in after-hours or weekend work as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for commercial HVAC systems, including diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
- Candidates should possess plumbing skills relevant to HVAC systems, such as piping, condensate drainage, and hydronic system components.
- Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including routine inspection, filter changes, cleaning, lubrication, and system performance checks.
- Relevant experience in commercial HVAC service and installation, including rooftop units, chillers, and building automation systems.
- Knowledge of local mechanical and building codes, safety standards, and best practices in the HVAC industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
