Role Description

The Refrigeration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. In this position, the technician installs, maintains, and repairs commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, identifying issues, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components to restore proper operation. The technician documents work performed, communicates clearly with customers and team members, and follows safety and regulatory standards.

The role also involves responding to service calls, prioritizing urgent issues, and supporting preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair on refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC issues.
  • Practical knowledge of Electricity, including safe work practices and basic electrical diagnostics.
  • Foundational HVAC skills, including understanding of system components, airflow, and refrigerant handling.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field (e.g., EPA certification for refrigerants).
  • Experience with commercial or industrial equipment service is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to maintain accurate service records.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the Miami, FL area.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and professional communication with customers and colleagues.
