The M-Power Regional Manager – Miami is responsible for leading the day-to-day implementation of Guitars Over Guns’ M-Power mental health & wellness program in the Miami region. This role supports the holistic well‑being of students, mentors, and program teams by strengthening trauma-informed, healing-centered practices across regional programming. The M-Power Regional Manager will manage and support Miami’s M-Power infrastructure, including Wellness Mentor and social work intern recruitment, onboarding, placement, training, supervision, site support, crisis response, case management, program evaluation, wellness programming, community partnerships, and resource navigation.
This person will also sustain and build partnerships with graduate programs, universities, and community agencies to strengthen the pipeline of social work interns and wellness support available to GOGO students and sites.
This role will also support post‑high‑school readiness across GOGO Miami high school programming. For all high school students, the M-Power Regional Manager will help provide direction, resources, and programming that encourages students to begin thinking about life after high school, including college, career, trade, workforce, arts, music, entrepreneurship, or other next‑step pathways. The senior cohort will receive more individualized support through a dedicated caseload model to ensure students are taking clear, concrete steps toward a realistic plan after graduation.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and experienced youth development or mental health professional who can build trust with students, mentors, families, staff, graduate program partners, and community partners. This person should bring strong judgment, cultural humility, trauma-informed practice, systems thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES M-Power Program Management, Intern Partnerships, and Wellness Support- Recruit, onboard, place, train, and supervise social work interns, Wellness Mentors, and other M-Power support roles in the Miami region.
- Sustain and build partnerships with graduate programs, universities, and community agencies to recruit, place, and support social work interns and strengthen the regional M-Power pipeline.
- Complete supervision, documentation, and coordination requirements connected to graduate school partners, internship programs, and higher education institutions.
- Conduct site visits, observations, coaching, and check-ins to ensure M-Power supports are effectively integrated into after-school and community-based programming.
- Triage red flag responses, student concerns, and urgent wellness needs; ensure action plans, follow-up steps, and appropriate referrals are completed in collaboration with relevant staff and partners.
