Principal Software EngineerThe Principal Software Engineer is a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end‑to‑end software solutions across the organization. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of full‑stack development, software architecture, and best practices across the development lifecycle. The Principal Software Engineer will work closely with cross‑functional teams, provide mentorship to engineers, and play a key role in defining the technical vision and roadmap for the organization’s platforms and applications.
YourResponsibilities On The Team
- Technical Leadership
:
Lead and guide the design and implementation of full‑stack solutions, ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance. Conduct architectural and code reviews to maintain coding standards and promote best practices across engineering teams. Champion modern development methodologies, including CI/CD, Dev Ops, and agile practices. - Full‑Stack Development
:
Design, develop, and maintain front‑end and back‑end components using modern frameworks and technologies. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user‑centric interfaces and integrate front‑end and back‑end systems seamlessly, optimizing APIs and data flows. - System Architecture
:
Define and document software architecture that meets current and future business needs, focused on modularity and scalability. Evaluate and implement cloud‑native solutions using platform services and infrastructure best suited for the organization. Continuously assess architectural decisions to align with business goals, technical debt, and emerging technologies. - Mentoring and Team Development
:
Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Provide technical guidance on complex problems, setting high standards for code quality, design principles, and testing practices. - Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
:
Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives. Communicate technical strategies, progress, and challenges clearly to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical teams. - Innovation and Continuous Improvement
:
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and development practices that enhance software solutions. Lead proof‑of‑concepts and pilot projects, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency. - Performance Optimization
:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the full stack. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability of software platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in full‑stack software development, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects.
- Experience in a principal or senior technical leadership role, guiding architecture and mentoring engineering teams.
- Technical Skills
:
Strong back‑end development skills with Go, Node.js, Python, or .NET; expertise in RESTful APIs; proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker); data modeling expertise; proficiency in front‑end frameworks such as Flutter, React, Angular, or Vue.js. - Soft Skills
:
Excellent communication across diverse audiences; strong leadership and problem‑solving skills; ability to work effectively across teams and build relationships with stakeholders; passion for technology and continuous improvement; self‑driven and highly motivated; integrity and focus on delivering high‑quality software.
This is primarily a sedentary office position. The incumbent must have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is required.
