Team Overview

ITHR provides HR and crewing software solutions for shoreside employees and shipboard crew members.

Internship Overview

Join the Salesforce‑platform development team that supports crew members throughout their journey to the ships.

Responsibilities
  • Execute assigned computer programming tasks
  • Develop software programs/modules of simple to moderate complexity
  • Perform basic testing and certification per defined processes
  • Support, operate, and maintain software products and applications
  • Apply methods and procedures according to Royal Caribbean’s Software Engineering standards
  • Provide basic documentation of software solutions
Software Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of delivering software products using appropriate methodologies, algorithms, and technologies
  • Understanding of computer‑science fundamentals and application of data structures and algorithms
  • Ability to follow software standards
  • Strong teamwork ability
  • Collaboration with customers, management, and peers
  • Independent and cross‑functional team working
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Software Solutioning
  • Basic knowledge of software technology, solutioning, and design of regional and local software products and infrastructure components
  • Understanding of software solution principles and standards
  • Familiarity with software design practices and patterns
  • Basic understanding of software components and current solution problems
Software Product Technical Knowledge
  • Basic knowledge and experience with technical aspects of a software product; knowledge of architecture, configurations, integration, and implementation options
  • Ability to access and interpret technical product information and documentation
  • Ability to document the purpose of software components
Technical Troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques, and ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical problems
  • Ability to identify and report software/application problems and follow escalation procedures
  • Ability to identify available resources and support systems for troubleshooting
Application Testing
  • Basic knowledge of designing, planning, and executing application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of development
  • Ability to execute application testing procedures
  • Ability to identify common errors in standard application testing
  • Capable of leveraging automated testing tools currently in use
Experience and Skills
  • Basic subject‑matter expertise
  • Basic domain knowledge
  • Basic technology expertise
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a 4‑year bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
  • Willing to be based in South Florida from June 2 – August 8, 2025
  • Minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA preferred
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
