Senior Programmer Engineer Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based applications, with a focus on extending Jira's capabilities.
Customize and enhance Jira plugins and integrations.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features in Jira.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira customizations and integrations.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Assist in unit testing and system integration efforts.
Contribute to technical documentation related to Jira customizations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
5–8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in system design and architecture.
Advanced coding proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, C++, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Experience using Jira or similar project management tools to manage development tasks and agile workflows.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Fluency in English and Spanish (plus).
