Frame Shift is a Roblox game studio based in Miami. We started in 2024 with a simple goal: make games on Roblox that are actually worth playing. We're a small team — which means the people we bring in have a real say in what we build and how we build it.
About this roleSits between design and engineering. You'd take game design ideas and figure out how to build them — writing implementation specs, prototyping in Luau, and bridging the gap when things get lost in translation between the two teams.
You Will- Prototype mechanics in Luau to validate feasibility before full engineering investment
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Design and Engineering during feature development
- Identify over-engineered or under defined requirements and flag them early
- Maintain technical design documentation in Notion or equivalent
- Comfortable writing Luau or willing to learn it fast
- Experience working in both design and engineering contexts
- Can prototype a mechanic quickly to test if it's worth building
- Familiar with tools like Linear, Notion, or Google Workspace for cross-team coordination
- Good at simplifying ideas that are over complicated
