Job Overview

We re a collaborative, product-focused engineering team building the technology platform behind one of the fastest-growing leagues in professional sports. We re looking for an early-career Jr. Software Engineer with 1-3 years of experience who enjoys solving problems and wants to grow alongside experienced engineers — contributing across our web platform, mobile app, and internal systems while gaining full-stack experience.

Key Responsibilities

Build and enhance fan-facing product experiences, including player profiles, game statistics, live scoring, fan voting, challenges, newsletters, and other interactive features.
Develop internal tools that support league operations, content management, player administration, media workflows, and game operations.
Contribute to full-stack product development, including user interfaces, server-side functionality, database interactions, validation, and application security.
Maintain and improve integrations with third-party platforms and internal services.
Help build and enhance our Expo/React Native mobile application.
Troubleshoot bugs, improve application performance, and contribute to ongoing platform stability.
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates to maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to deliver features that improve the fan and employee experience.

Qualifications

1-3 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building customer-facing web applications.
Strong foundation in JavaScript or Type Script.
Experience building applications with React.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
Experience working with Git, pull requests, and collaborative software development workflows.
Experience integrating APIs and debugging production applications.
Ability to understand and extend an existing codebase while following established engineering patterns.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to continuously learn.
Experience working in a startup or other fast-paced product environment.
Bonus: experience with:

Next.js, React Native/Expo
Relational databases such as PostgreSQL
Modern ORMs and API development
Utilizing AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
