- Idempotent, replayable pipelines with tests and alerting
- Warehouse performance and cost
- Set the engineering standards for our data work.
- Architecture and transformation framework, such as dbt
- Conventions for timestamps, naming, typing, late-arriving data
- Backfills, schema evolution, lineage, data quality
- Documentation, code review, CI/CD, mentoring
- BS degree in a technical field
- 5+ years building production data pipelines

- Strong Snowflake depth or equivalent: clustering, incremental loading, query profiling, cost control
- Strong experience with Airflow or a comparable orchestrator in production
- Working knowledge of AWS, enough for routine Dev Ops on your own services
- Demonstrated ownership of data modeling and transformation standardsA track record of raising standards inside an existing codebase
- Passion for clean energy
- Familiarity with power system concepts (load, generation, transmission, MW vs. MWh), energy markets, and energy storage
- Experience with dbt or a comparable transformation framework
- Experience with high-frequency time-series data
- Comfortable owning infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation, CDK)
- Deep AWS expertise beyond routine Dev Ops, especially networking and hybrid connectivity
