Fitness​/Gym Front Desk Attendant

Are you a people person with a passion for fitness, community and exceptional customer service? The Alper JCC Miami is looking for superstar Front Desk Attendants to be the welcoming face of our Fitness Center. This is more than just a desk job. It is about creating an outstanding first impression, building relationships and helping our members feel at home.

• Greet every member and guest with a warm smile and positive energy.
• Manage check-ins, verify memberships and ensure smooth facility access.
• Answer and direct calls with professionalism and accuracy.
• Be knowledgeable about all JCC programs, events and services and confidently share that information with members.
• Provide expert knowledge of fitness center equipment, amenities and classes to help promote programs and increase membership.
• Conduct engaging facility tours for prospective members, highlighting the value of an Alper JCC membership.
• Deliver A+ customer service by anticipating needs, solving problems quickly and making every member feel valued.

• Prior customer service experience preferred, especially in a fitness, hospitality or community-focused environment.
• Outgoing, approachable personality with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Enthusiasm for health, wellness and the JCC community mission.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as the fitness center is open most days from 5 am to 9 pm.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk and move for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, twist, lift and carry items as needed.
• Comfort working under various indoor and outdoor lighting and temperature conditions.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Located in sunny, beautiful Miami, FL, the sprawling Alper JCC Miami on The Jay Morton-Levinthal Campus lies in the heart of the suburb of Kendall. Convenient and accessible, our Center provides many opportunities for the Jewish community and all south Miami-Dade County residents to enjoy recreational, educational, cultural and social activities. We offer our members and guests the chance to meet and connect with individuals and families from all over.

For fitness enthusiasts, our Fitness Center is a great place to play racquetball, train with a friend in the gym, play tennis or swim in our chilled/heated 25 yard outdoor swimming pool. Our Youth and Adult Building, home to a wide selection of adult programs and our children's department offers the young and young at heart a place to gather and socialize.

Also, our Sablotsky Cultural Arts Center hosts visual arts exhibits and performance or all ages and focuses on bringing renowned Jewish artists, authors, and entertainers for the community to enjoy!
