Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full‑time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Miami‑Dade, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Clean driving record is essential. Must pass criminal background check.
Required ExperienceMinimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance.
Preferred Skills/Experience- Full bilingual Spanish/English
- Roadway maintenance or construction skills
- MOT Certifications Advanced
- General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures
- CDL license preferred, but not required
- Must have transportation to and from Company office
- Ability to take direction
- Produce quality work in an efficient manner
- Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
- Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
- Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
Full‑time. Must be flexible and available to work on‑call when required. Day shift & night shift needed.
SalaryDepends on experience, licenses and certifications.
